Peter van der Galiën named TecAlliance CEO
TecAlliance has appointed Peter van der Galiën (55) as the new CEO of TecAlliance GmbH, effective 1 January 2024. He succeeds Jürgen Buchert (66), who will retire at the end of the year after 22 years as CEO of TecAlliance GmbH and Caruso GmbH. The TecAlliance Group will achieve turnover of more than 117 million euros in 2023. It employs almost 1,000 people.

Niko Haavisto will become the new Chief Financial Officer of Nokian Tyres and a member of the company’s Management team as of 1 October 2023, succeeding Teemu Kangas-Kärki. In this role, he will report to Jukka Moisio, President and Chief Executive Officer. Jari Huuhtanen, VP, Group Business Control, will continue in the interim position of SVP, Finance and Treasury, until the end of February 2024.

BA Bush & Son Ltd has recruited Terry Moody as its new UK sales executive. The company said it is expanding and enhancing its existing sales team and coverage of the UK. Moody has a wealth of experience in both sales and the tyre industry and has previously worked in the OTR tyre sector. BA Bush says Moody will work with new and potential customers to communicate the company’s extensive brand catalogue, including exclusive off-road brand Ascenso Tyres. He will be accountable for growth with new customers as well as maintaining existing customer relationships, meeting customer needs and requirements.

Effective 1 August, Manja Greimeier is heading the Original Equipment business area within the Continental Tires business. In this capacity, she is responsible for the tyre manufacturer’s global original equipment business for both passenger and commercial vehicles. Greimeier’s predecessor, David O’Donnell, recently took over responsibility for global research and development activities within Continental’s passenger car tyre replacement business.

Nokian Tyres has given word that Teemu Kangas-Kärki, CFO and Management Team member, has decided to leave the company. He will remain with Nokian Tyres until 30 November 2023. The recruitment process for his successor has started, and Jari Huuhtanen, VP, Group Business Control, will hold the interim role of SVP, Finance and Treasury, until a permanent replacement arrives.
