Tomohiko Masuta has concluded his tenure as Senior Executive Manager, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Falken Tyre Europe, becoming Chairman and General Manager of Sumitomo Rubber (China) Co. Ltd. as of 1 January 2024. He succeeds Eiichi Masuda in these roles. Masuda concurrently serves as Chairman and General Manager of Sumitomo Rubber (Changshu) and Chairman of Sumitomo Rubber (Hunan).

Chandgie named COO of Yokohama Tire Corp.
Yokohama Tire Corporation has promoted Stan Chandgie, who is currently EVP of Sales & Support, to the position of Chief Operating Officer. Chandgie begins in this role on 1 April 2024 and will add marketing, tyre business planning, and supply chain/logistics to his existing remit of overseeing consumer and commercial sales. He will report to Jeff Barna, President and CEO of Yokohama Rubber’s North American manufacturing and sales business.

Departures & arrivals – changes to Borbet’s management team
Three managing directors are parting ways with wheel manufacturer Borbet, and not all are going voluntarily. One is Oliver J. Schneider, who as managing director of Borbet Vertriebs GmbH is in charge of aftermarket business. He is leaving at his own request, and Borbet has yet to name his successor. Kumho Tyre UK promoted Dean Dyoss to the role of sales director effective 1 January 2024. Dyoss has more than 30 years of experience in the tyre industry in various sales positions with the likes of Bridgestone and Nankang as well as with Point S and Kwik Fit on the retail side. However, he has spent the last eight years with Kumho where he has been key account manager. As a result of his promotion, Dyoss will take responsibility for the Kumho consumer products sales team including business development and key accounts.
