Andy Savva has been appointed the new Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation (IAAF) vice-president supporting president, Lawrence Bleasdale and chief executive, Wendy Williamson, before taking over as president in 2017. Savva has accumulated a wealth of experience in the automotive aftermarket since entering the industry more than 30 years ago. Owning and successfully managing his own garage since 1994, Savva has gone on to win numerous awards including the prestigious ‘National Independent Garage of the Year Award’ at the Hilton London in 2004.

This latest quarterly update outlines the reasons why people have contacted Ben over the period and details that 84 per cent of people seeking Ben’s help are of working age and currently working in the automotive industry.

ATS Euromaster has opened a new centre in Rupert Street, Birmingham, that will provide truck servicing, as well as acting as a training centre for new expert technicians. An upgrade to the existing Aston Truck service centre, ATS Euromaster has invested around £250,000 in a move to new premises which at 22,000 square foot are around double the size of an average service centre.

Delegates from the Michelin Tyre Academy ‘Class of 2016’ flew to the company’s Clermont-Ferrand headquarters for the third and final module of the training course, and were rewarded for their dedication with a 4x4 driving experience on a mountain-top track. Six students from the Academy’s initial 2016 intake were selected for the module by their respective Michelin Auto Professional advocate programme tyre dealerships, which are also all part of the Michelin Certified Centre (MCC) network.
