Magna Tyres Group has released another ‘Made in Holland’ tyre, the Magna AG23. The product that rolls out of the company’s plant in Hardenberg, the Netherlands is specifically designed for fitment on agricultural trucks and trailers and features a tread design optimised for agricultural and transport applications.

The first sods of earth in the construction of the new Continental headquarters in Hannover, Germany were turned yesterday at an official groundbreaking ceremony. The facility, which carries the snappy title Continental Campus, is expected to be finished by the end of 2020 and provide space for 1,250 employees. Former Marangoni commercial director Matteo Berti has joined Goodyear as manager of the company’s Commercial business unit for Italy. He began in this role on 1 July and reports directly to Marc Preedy, managing director, Truck Replacement Sales, Europe at Goodyear Tire & Rubber.
Every year, US-based organisation The Tire Industry Association (TIA) inducts new worthies into its Hall of Fame. As mentioned on Friday, this year the TIA welcomes two from the industry to its Hall of Fame, and off-highway tyre specialist BKT is honoured that its chairman and managing director, Arvind Poddar is one of the pair selected for this accolade. Poddar will be officially inducted into the Hall of Fame at the Tire Industry Honors Awards Ceremony, which will be held in Las Vegas on 29 October prior to the opening of the 2018 SEMA Show.
