White is the new black for Massey Ferguson and Trelleborg Wheel Systems. The tyre maker has kitted out Massey Ferguson’s MF Next Concept tractor with a special version of its Trelleborg TM1000 Progressive Traction. An addition to the Continental TractorMaster range will be presented at next week’s Agritechnica show. Called the TractorMaster Hybrid, the new tyre comes with built-in pressure sensors. The pressure and temperature information these provide enables operators to adjust tyre pressure to match the task at hand. The long-awaited Vredestein motorcycle tyres for European riders are now here. Sales of Michelin motorcycle tyres have doubled within the past five years. The tyre maker also aims to double sales again in the coming five, and will be aided here by a comprehensive renewal within its two-wheeler tyre portfolio in 2020. No less than nine new products will be introduced next year, a line-up expected to represent a quarter of Michelin’s sales within this segment. A new investor is coming on board at EATD B.V. The agricultural tyre distributor won’t disclose the identity of this new investor until a letter of intent is signed at next week’s Agritechnica show in Germany. EATD nevertheless shares its anticipation that the new investor partnership, agreed upon following extensive negotiations, will lead to a “clear course of growth for the company and the Tianli brand”.
Hankook Tire has reported consolidated global sales of KRW 1,833.2 trillion (£1.2 billion) for Q3 2019, a 4.4 per cent increase compared with the third quarter of last year.
