A size 315/80R22.5 model has been added to its Logistik LD01 drive pattern, manufactured using the latest 12-segment, high pressure tyre press. The LD01 provides optimal performance and longevity to reduce operating costs with low rolling resistance and a competitive cost-per-kilometre.

Goodyear Dunlop has launched its new range of Dunlop brand on road commercial vehicle tyres. The truck tyres have been designed to provide increased mobility: mileage has been increased by ”up to 10 per cent”; winter performance has been enhanced, with the steer and drive fitments receiving Three Peak Mountain Snowflake (3PMSF) certification; and fuel efficiency has also been improved, according to Laurent Colantonio, Goodyear Dunlop director of commercial tyre technology in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Blaby District Council in Leicestershire has switched to a Michelin tyre policy across its commercial vehicle fleet following a year-long trial on a set of Michelin X Works tyres. Most of the council’s fleet, which includes a mix of 18 Mercedes-Benz and Dennis refuse collection vehicles (RCVs), a 12.5 tonne road sweeper, two 5.2 tonne Iveco Dailys and a single 7.5 tonne DAF 45, plus 30 light commercial vehicles, now runs on Michelin products. All tyre servicing will be carried out by local dealership Lodge Tyres’ Leicester branch. The council is also specifying the tyres as original equipment.
Dmack new range of UK-made gravel tyres will be available at next week’s Vodafone Rally de Portugal, round five of the World Rally Championship. The British firm has developed products specifically for both world rally cars and R5 specification machines for the first time. The FIA regulations allow tyre manufacturers to change the specification of homologated tyres once during the season. Dmack has taken the opportunity to introduce new soft and hard options of its DMG+2 tyre for both WRC and WRC 2 competitors.
Team CAM Pain entered the 19th annual Dragon Boat Regatta at Gloucester Docks on Sunday 8 May. The team and its decorative 40-foot dragon boat raced to raise money for the event’s chosen charities: Cancer Research UK; Sue Ryder (local); “Charlie’s” – a new cancer drop-in centre in Gloucester; the Air Ambulance; and a village in Nepal destroyed by an earthquake, where the money will be used to purchase 200 new ovens being placed in newly- built houses.
Davanti Tyres has signed an exclusive distribution agreement in Martinique and Guadeloupe with Pneus Cash. The brand’s products became available in the French Caribbean islands, which have a combined population of 800,000, in April 2016.
Davanti has signed a title sponsorship deal with one of the UK’s largest regional cricket leagues. The company said the arrangement forms part of its overall marketing strategy to increase consumer awareness of the brand and its benefits. It has already ventured into football sponsorship with high profile FA Cup matches in February and March. Davanti’s new sponsorship of the North Staffs and South Cheshire Premier Cricket League (NSSCPCL) will see all 55 grounds adorned with Davanti banners as part of the package. Dubai based distributor Zafco will thrust its house Zeetex brand into the limelight at Reifen 2016, displaying its latest car tyre ranges from Hall 3, 3B28. “We believe that [Reifen presents] a great opportunity for our existing and potential customers to select from our extensive product offerings,” the company stated.
Dutch garage equipment manufacturer Winntec will showcase a series of new additions to its growing product portfolio from its booth (Hall 1, B19) at Reifen 2016. The Winntec Y412500 2.5 ton aluminium floor jack combines a futuristic design with Winntec’s Turbo Lifter pumping technology. Its latest jack, the Winntec Y420330, features a compact yet fully functional design, while an upgrade to Winntec’s Wheel Assist will increase the range’s functionality, the company states.
Singapore based tyre supplier Firenza will exhibit its full range of car and truck tyres, as well as its Stamford Sport Wheels (SSW) from Thailand. Firenza’s European market targeted ST-05A ultra-high performance tyre will lead the way in the car segment, alongside a multi-application SUV range (AT-186, HT-183 and ST-185), and the SV053 van and light truck tyre. Firenza’s truck products, including the SSR05A steer, SSM07 all position, and super-single range, will also be on the stand.
OBO Tyres will present a stand designed to promote tyre retreading at Reifen 2016. The company’s 100sqm stand will be situated in the Gallery area that connects Hall 2 and 4, with OBO Tyres giving its booth a summer look, presenting large tyres in a beach environment. The retreader says its intention is to draw attention “to the most environmentally friendly” method of tyre production.
