Klarius Products Ltd has added an additional 48 components to its emissions control range. New components cover applications across the automotive spectrum, incorporating old and new models. New parts now available include DPFs for the Ford Transit 2.4TDCi, exhaust muffler boxes with centre pipes for the Fiat 500, combined CAT and DPF units for the BMW 3, 5 and 6 series, plus tailpipes for the Nissan Navara 2.5DCi.
German aftermarket car parts and tools distributor Stahlgruber GmbH will soon have a new owner. LKQ Corporation has entered into a definitive agreement with Stahlgruber group management holding company Stahlgruber Otto Gruber AG to acquire the subsidiary for an enterprise value of approximately 1.5 billion euros. LKQ expects to complete the transaction late in the first quarter or early in the second quarter of 2018, subject to required regulatory approvals.
In addition to appointing Paul Reitz its eighth member, the Board of Directors at Titan International has also approved the company’s 2018 strategic and operational plan. Reitz commented that after “working hard to manage our way through three years of a cyclical downturn and then post three consecutive quarters of revenue growth this year,” it was “great to be able to present to our board a 2018 plan that continues to reflect growth across all of our business units.”
At a meeting on 5 December, the Board of Directors at Titan International, Inc. agreed to increase in size from seven to eight directors in accordance with company by-laws, and appointed Paul G. Reitz its eighth member. Titan International states that the company president and chief executive officer was appointed to the board “due in large part to his vision and leadership along with his background and knowledge of the business.”

Harjeev Kandhari, CEO of the Zenises Group, has announced that Zenises is going to accept Bitcoin for all its transactions both off line and online. The entry of Belarus-based tyre maker Belshina into the giant tyre market comes another step forward with the successful testing of the 57- and 63-inch tyres at quarry sites. The tyres were fitted to 360 and 450 tonne payload BelAZ dump trucks; Belshina has been approved as an original equipment supplier to the manufacturer, whose BelAZ 75710 is said to be the highest capacity haul truck in the world. Belshina reports that the results of these operational tests are a prelude to volume production.
