Firm investigated for alleged fake Thai tyres

Bangkok-based newspaper The Nation reports that Thai authorities are investigating a Chinese tyre manufacturer for “allegedly smuggling substandard tyres into Thailand, modifying them, and mislabelling them for export.” Quoting an unnamed source, the publication writes that the country’s Ministry of Industry is investigating this matter, but has decided to withhold the company’s name at this point in proceedings.
