Shen Jinrong: Chinese tyre industry grew fast at start of 2024, but slowed at end

On 26 March, Shen Jinrong, chairman of ZC Rubber, surveyed the Chinese tyre industry at the 2025 Annual Meeting of the China Rubber Industry Association. In Shen Jinrong’s view, Chinese tyre manufacturers generally showed high growth at the beginning and low at the end of 2024. In other words, the various indicators of tyre companies in the second half of 2024 declined compared with the growth rate in the first half of the year. In this regard, Shen Jinrong attributed the reasons to the following four aspects:
