President Trump introduces 25% automotive parts tariffs

In addition to tariffs on vehicles imported into the USA effective 2 April 2025, President Trump has also announced 25% tariffs on auto parts, effective 3 May 2025. But does that include tyres? The White House has specified that these tariffs apply to “key imported auto parts,” explicitly mentioning engines, transmissions, powertrain parts, and electrical components. However, there has so-far been no explicit mention of “tyres”.
