New anniversary icon celebrates PCL inflation milestone

This coming May, the team at PCL in Sheffield will commemorate the 80th anniversary of a significant event. For on 6 May 1945 – just hours before Germany signed the surrender document that marked the end of World War 2 in Europe – the inflation specialist finalised the design for the original Vertex Tyre Inflator, a unit better known as the MK2. PCL is celebrating 80 years of handheld inflation in 2025 with the launch of an icon reflecting the design and engineering excellence for which its “Made in Sheffield” products are renowned.
