Michelin and Brembo link smart tyres and brakes to shorten braking by 4m

Brembo has signed a global agreement with Michelin to “exploit the full potential of their intelligent solutions to revolutionize vehicle performance and offer drivers the highest safety and comfort standards.” Specifically, Brembo is bringing its braking systems, vehicle modelling and artificial intelligence (AI) to the table. For its part, Michelin is contributing its leadership in tyre modelling and algorithm development. The partnership centres on “the continuous exchange of real-time data between Michelin’s connected solutions software, which provides tyre grip data to Brembo’s innovative Sensify braking system”. According to the two companies, these tyre insights “enable engineers to fine-tune the braking system with exceptional precision, further enhancing Sensify’s characteristics”.
