Former Michelin Russia operations renamed Davydovo

Following the news that the former Michelin Russia tyre factory will be producing tyres under the Farlight and Selna brands in future, according to the Russian Tyre Manufacturers Association (TMA), the tyre manufacturing operation has rebranded as Davydovo Tire.
The name change is a reference to Davydovo village, where the factory can be found in the Orekhovo-Zuyevo outside Moscow.
Davyodovo Tire, reports that, while the passenger car tyre factory was put into operation in 2004, nowadays the company also runs a truck tyre retreading operation and a studding shop.
Moving forward the company says it plans to “launch new equipment and production processes” and that Davydovo stands for “the highest level of technological expertise, safety and culture of tyre production”.
Michelin sold its Russian operations to Power International Tires LLC in May 2023. Industry news sources suggest the factory has the capacity to produce 6,000 units of passenger car and light vehicle tyres per day.
