Ford managers in nationwide strike action ballot
Around 500 Ford managers at sites across the country are being balloted for strike action over pay, says Unite, the UK’s leading union. The ballot, which closes on 30 May, came after Ford refused to improve their pay offer and Unite’s request to attend talks with the conciliation service ACAS. The workers, who have recently organised and achieved union recognition in 2023, have been offered a performance related bonus payment, which provides no guarantee of a cost-of-living increase.
