Yokohama RY53 tyres fitted to Toyota Hilux Champ

Yokohama Rubber is supplying the Yokohama RY53 tyre to Toyota on the automaker’s new pickup truck, the Hilux Champ. The new model was launched in Asia in November 2023. The original equipment tyre is supplied in size 195R14C 106/104S.

Yokohama says the RY53 tyre is designed for light trucks with high wear resistance and fuel efficiency. To meet the performance of the new Hilux Champ, the Yokohama RY53 tyres supplied as OE have a specially tuned profile to achieve high steering stability and comfort.

Yokohama is strategically strengthening its supply of OE products and expanding the product lineup for pickup trucks, an increasingly popular vehicle class in North America in particular. In 2022, the company started supplying its Geolandar X-CV tyres as OE for the Toyota Tundra, a full-size pickup truck. In 2023, it launched the Geolandar A/T XD, tyres for full-size pickup trucks and other commercial vehicles.
