Nova Motorsport acquires Camac

Following the news that the company will be producing certain Avon-branded motorsport tyres, Nova Motorsport has announced “its acquisition of leading tyre producer, Camac”. No details relating to the terms of acquisition have been released.

Writing in a social media post, Nova Motorsport representatives wrote that the Palmeira, Portugal-based Camac factory “provides capacity for over 500,000 tyres per year to facilitate reindustrialisation of the Avon Motorsport product range”, confirming the reports we published in February that Camac would be the new Avon motorsport production base.

And there’s more. For Nova Motorsport, the acquisition is just the beginning: “This strategic step further fuels our drive to become a leading name in the global motorsport tyre industry – expanding our capability, reach, and further cementing our exclusive role as global supplier of the vast majority of Avon Motorsport products.”
