New name for Australia’s National Tyre & Wheel

Australian headquartered tyre and wheel importer, distributor and retailer National Tyre & Wheel Limited has a new name. From 9 April 2024, the company will call itself NTAW Holdings Limited. Shareholders passed a resolution to rename the company during an extraordinary general meeting on 26 March 2024.
The company explains that the change of name is “part of a resetting” of its Australian wholesale businesses, an action taking place in the month it begins exclusive distributorship of the Dunlop tyre brand in Australia. “This reset will provide efficiencies in account management and logistics to improve the purchase experience of customers with existing product brands and assist in achieving the targets for distribution of the new Dunlop branded products commencing from 2 April 2024.”
Separate businesses, one company
Prior to this week’s start with Dunlop, NTAW explained that “as the proud, soon to be, distributors of Dunlop tyres, Tyres4U, Dynamic Wheel Co and Exclusive Tyre Distributors (ETD) will operate as parts of a new single wholesale company, adopting the name of the current parent company National Tyre & Wheel Pty Limited.” These existing subsidiaries will continue to operate as separate business divisions of NTAW, with their own sales and marketing teams continuing existing business models. “Putting them into one company means that, whether our customers hold an account with Tyres4U, Dynamic or ETD, it will be easier for them to purchase Dunlop,” says NTAW.
The company plans for this change to take affect for ETD and Tyres4U from 2 April 2024, while access to Dunlop via Dynamic Wheel Co. will begin on 1 July 2024.
The company considers that by adopting the National Tyre & Wheel brand for the new, wholly owned wholesale entity, it is continuing to “leverage the goodwill of this overall brand, which is complementary to the specialised brands of Exclusive Tyre Distributors, Tyres4U and Dynamic Wheel Co that are well known in each of their respective market segments.”
