Michelin Peugeot 3008 and E-3008 OE tyres being produced in Europe

Following the news that Michelin has been selected by Peugeot to exclusively equip the new Peugeot 3008 and E-3008 sold in Europe, the tyremaker is emphasising that, whether hybrid or 100 per cent electric, all the SUVs in the Peugeot 3008 range will receive tailor-made tyres produced by Michelin via “European manufacture as close as possible to the markets”.

According to the company, Michelin engineers worked for three years on the development of the tyre ranges for the future Peugeot 3008 and E-3008. And the result is that three tyre ranges – two summer and one all-season – are offered, for 19- and 20-inch rims:

In Europe, 235/50 R 20 104V, 235/55 R 19 105V, and 225/55 R 19 103V Michelin e.Primacy tyres plus Michelin CrossClimate 2 SUV tyres in 225/55 R 19 103 V and 235/55 R 19 105 V are being supplied.

Meanwhile, outside Europe, 235/50 R 20 104V Michelin Pilot Sport 4 SUV tyres are being supplied.

Michelin reports that it has “deployed significant industrial means to accompany the commercial success of the new Peugeot SUV”. And that means the company’s European factories in Vitoria and Valladolid in Spain, Cuneo in Italy, and Bad Kreuznach in Germany will exclusively equip all Peugeot 3008 and E-3008 models with Michelin e.Primacy, Pilot Sport 4 SUV, and CrossClimate 2 SUV tyres “as close as possible” to the markets.
