Firemax Cambodia factory holds groundbreaking ceremony

On 8 April, Firemax held a groundbreaking ceremony for its Cambodian factory. The factory is in the Special Economic Zone of Kratie Province, Cambodia, and was built with a total investment of US$190 million. Once completed and put into operation, the production base will be able to produce 8 million semi-steel radial tyres and 1.2 million all-steel radial tyres every year and provide about 1,500 local jobs.
Founded in 2011, Firemax focuses on tyre exports. The company’s parent company is Shunfuchang. With the addition of Firemax, the number of Chinese tyre manufacturers building overseas factories in Cambodia has reached four. The other three companies are Sailun, Doublestar, and Jiangsu General. Wanli and Zodo have also reported plans to build factories in Cambodia, but there is no news to prove that they have made substantial progress.
