Testing shows heat dissipation with EcoPoint³

Maxam Tire recently turned to TÜV SÜD for independent evaluation of how its EcoPoint³ compound influences heat resistance in forklift tyres. The standards and certification specialist examined the properties of seven tyres – Maxam products with and without EcoPoint³, as well as five tyres from competitors – at one of its facilities in Germany. It found that compared to standard compounds and competitor tyres, Maxam’s material handling tyre with EcoPoint³ exhibited significant improvements.
Rolling resistance: The Maxam tyre with EcoPoint³ demonstrated a 51 per cent reduction in rolling resistance compared to the standard compound Maxam tyre and a 39 per cent average reduction compared to competitors.

Endurance: Maxam’s EcoPoint³ forklift tyre showed a 35 per cent increase in endurance compared to the standard compound Maxam tyre and a 12 per cent average increase compared to competitor tyres.
Internal heat buildup: TÜV SÜD found the Maxam MS700 with EcoPoint³ exhibited a 25 per cent lower internal heat buildup compared to one competitor’s “super-premium” tyre.

“With the ever-increasing demands operations face today, it’s vital that your fleet runs on tyres that outlast others and boost maximum durability,” states Maxam Tire. “The EcoPoint³’s technology allows significant improvement on filler dispersion, allowing higher ratios of stress at elongation, essentially producing a stronger and more durable tyre.”
