Bandvulc has widened the range of its fifth-generation BD5 ultra-high mileage drive tyre. Launched at the inaugural 2022 Road Transport Expo, replacing the BD08 in the Fleetmaster range, the BD5 will now also be available as a 315/80 tyre from March.
According to the Continental-owned retreader, the BD5 has quickly become a popular product among customers. Engineered with long-haul operators in mind, the BD5 combines the latest in innovation and design. The result is a dependable, high-performing retread tyre that boasts outstanding sustainability credentials.
The Bandvulc BD5 utilises a purpose-formulated Long-Life Tread+ rubber compound. Independent trials commissioned by Bandvulc, show that the BD5 delivered a 40 per cent increase in mileage compared to the older BD08.
The BD5 also commands greater driving dynamics than its predecessor, thanks in part to a completely redesigned directional tread pattern. Every BD5 is certified 3PMSF.
