IAAF launches new parts advisor training programme

The Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation (IAAF) has launched its new Proactive Parts Advisor Programme. The training programme looks at proactive parts sales, effective customer relationships and compliant handling. It was developed in partnership with IAAF Service Provider ASC WebCoach to target UK motor factors, supporting parts distributors, garages, and others in the supply chain. The federation said it has conducted a highly successful pilot programme.
Through a blended learning approach of virtual classroom training, coaching and one-to-one support, parts advisors have the opportunity of a short training session or a certified training course. All courses include training materials, support tools and videos to assist continual learning.
The aim of this blended programme is to provide IAAF members with updated and refined customer handling skills, leading to an improved customer experience, increased performance and better staff retention.
ASC WebCoach have been designing, developing and deploying automotive Virtual Training solutions since 2010 and classroom based or in-business training and coaching since 2004.
Mark Field, IAAF chief executive said: “I’m really pleased to be coming to market with a solution that offers effective training for motor factors. The new programme has far-reaching benefits and we have also seen a demand from suppliers and garages for this type of training.
“Through working with the IAAF membership, the programme will be continually refined to meet the needs of the aftermarket and support staff retention and improved business performance.”
