Firemax planning Cambodia tyre factory

Shouguang-based tyre manufacturer Firemax plans to invest in a Cambodian factory in 2024, according to local media reports. The project has been registered with the project department. According to filing information, the total investment in the project is US$190 million, with a designed annual production capacity of 1.2 million all-steel radial tyres and 8 million semi-steel radial tyres.
Firemax was established in 2011, and its parent company is Weifang Shunfuchang. Information on the company’s official website shows that Firemax brand tyre products are not allowed to be shipped to the United States, while other brands, such as Invovic, can be exported to the United States.
With the addition of Firemax, the number of Chinese tyre companies building factories in Cambodia has reached 5. Other tyre manufacturers include Sailun, Doublestar, Wanli, and Jiangsu General.
