Dunlop Grandtrek AT5 tyres OE on new Toyota Lexus NX ‘Overtrail’

In mid-March 2024, Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd. began supplying 235/60R18 103H Dunlop Grandtrek AT tyres as original equipment on the new Lexus NX Overtrail, which launched in February.

The new luxury SUV was developed as part of the Lexus “Overtrail Project”, which aims to achieve a carbon-neutral society, “nurture the relationship between humans, nature, and mobility,” and support a wide range of customers’ outdoor lifestyles.

The Sumitomo Rubber Industries-developed Dunlop Grandtrek AT5 is an all-terrain SUV tyre that combines on-road and off-road performance at a high level. Combining a new compound and new tread pattern with high drainage efficiency, the tyres can reportedly achieve “improved wet-driving performance”. Rubber blocks on the sides of the tyres are designed to improve cut resistance, while stone ejectors protect against stone trapping.
