Déjà vu – Shingo Aso returns to TBC Corporation

TBC Corporation, one of North America’s largest marketers of automotive replacement tyres through wholesale and franchise operations, has named Shingo Aso its Executive Vice President, Corporate Development. In this role, he will lead the corporate development initiatives, mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances and new business development.
No stranger to TBC, Aso previously served as Executive Vice President, Corporate Development from 2018 to 2019 and Executive Coordinator for the company from 2015 to 2017. During his sojourn away from TBC, he gained experience at Sumitomo Corporation, where he oversaw the global tyre businesses, including TBC, as General Manager, Tire Department.
“With his extensive industry experience, we are thrilled to welcome Shingo back to TBC, as we continue to explore new strategic growth opportunities to maximise value for customers, partners and employees,” says Sam Kato, president and chief executive officer for TBC Corporation.
Aso is a graduate of Keio University in Tokyo, Japan, and holds a bachelor’s degree in political science.
