Craig Hutchinson joins ETB Wholesale

ETB Wholesale has appointed Craig Hutchinson its Business Development Manager, with responsibility for the Bristol and Somerset region. Hutchinson joins the business from GB Tyres, where he held the position of Account Manager for almost two years. Other previous tyre related roles include several years at Traxx Tyres here in the UK as well as several positions in South Africa.
Introducing the new Business Development Manager, ETB Wholesale says that Hutchinson “boasts a wealth of experience in virtually every aspect of tyre retail” that he will now apply to the wholesale sector. Hutchinson believes his prior experience puts him in “the ideal position to drive the company forward,” and he looks forward to working with a company that “mirrors” his own approach to customer relations.
“The family values and customer care shown by ETB Wholesale are second-to-none. I see this on a daily basis, and it is great to work for such a brilliant business,” says Craig Hutchinson. “I can already see that we are agile and flexible enough to meet the needs of all customers, no matter their size or bespoke requests. My objective is to add my own personal touch and create long-lasting relationships with each customer, based on trust and a sense of friendship.
“I have an intuitive understanding of different tyre retail businesses, partly because of the positions I have held in the industry over the years. I’d like to think that the empathy I show comes across during every meeting and customer visit,” he adds.
Get the basics right
For Hutchinson, no “magic formula” exists for increasing sales, it is all a matter of hard work and the ability to communicate “ETB’s superior service levels and aftercare” to customers. “Getting the basics right is vital. Listening to our customers, adapting to their needs when required and steering the conversation away from price alone are all factors that come into play.
“My job is then made easy by the team already in place here. They listen to my feedback, encourage me to suggest change if necessary and we’re all made to feel invaluable colleagues,” he adds. “It’s been a great start to life so far and I’m keen to tap into the potential we have here and make ETB Wholesale an even more compelling proposition for our customers.”
