Aeolus giant tyre project starts construction at Jiaozuo, China plant in June

The Aeolus giant tyre project has completed all approval procedures and is expected to start construction in June 2024. The project is in Aeolus’ western factory in Jiaozuo. It plans to build a new production plant and power station and add giant tyre building and vulcanisation equipment. The construction period of the project is 24 months. After completion, it will be able to add 20,000 giant engineering radial tyre production capacity every year.
Aeolus said that its giant tyre and OTR projects have a high technical starting point, are based on the tyre manufacturer’s existing technology, and have received technical support from Prometeon Tyre Group (PTG).
After the project is completed, annual sales revenue will increase by 1.97 billion yuan (approximately £215 million; €252 million), and the average annual total profit will be 760 million yuan (approximately £83 million; €97 million).
Aeolus was founded in 1965 and has an annual production capacity of 6.5 million truck and bus tyres and 630,000 OTR tyres.
