Pyrum commences pyrolysis oil deliveries to BASF

Pyrum Innovations views the commissioning of reactor 2 (TAD 2) at its main Dillingen/Saar site in Germany as a “new milestone,” and test runs of TAD 2 have resulted in the production of around 60,000 litres of pyrolysis oil, with the first delivery of 24,000 litres earmarked for BASF. Rigorous testing and sampling confirm that the oil meets all required specifications, paving the way for future deliveries.
Reactor 2 is now undergoing thermal cleaning before further tests, with plans to commence the next operating run within two weeks for power generation. The company is also preparing for the commissioning of the third reactor, aiming to rapidly ramp up production to treble the previous capacity.
“The result speaks for itself. After three weeks of continuous production, we have reached a new milestone with the first delivery of our pyrolysis oil from TAD 2 to BASF,” says Pascal Klein, chief executive officer of Pyrum Innovations AG. “We are immensely proud that we were able to achieve this step before our planning period, which we owe above all to the great commitment of our team. We are thus in a successful phase of our rollout plan and are now preparing for our new interim goals – the in-house generation of electricity from TAD 2 and the first test run of TAD 3.”
