Pirelli in Top 1% of S&P Global Sustainable Yearbook 2024

S&P Global has published its Sustainability Yearbook 2024, with Pirelli distinguishing itself as the only firm within the Auto Component sector to qualify as a ‘Top 1%’ company. Commenting on this achievement, Marco Tronchetti Provera, executive vice chairman and chief executive officer of Pirelli, said: “Being again recognised this year as one of the leaders in the Sustainability Yearbook confirms Pirelli’s capacity to integrate its sustainability strategy along the entire value chain. These concrete results and challenging goals are only obtained with the commitment of all.”
The Sustainability Yearbook 2024 is based upon the analysis of the sustainability profiles of 9,400 companies. Pirelli’s result this year follows its first-place score in the 2023 Corporate Sustainability Assessment of S&P Global’s Dow Jones Sustainability Indices, in which the company earned first place in the Auto Components and Automotive sectors of the Dow Jones Sustainability World and Europe Indices with a score of 84 points (revised from the initial 83).
