New Sava Intensa SUV 2 sizes

Not only is Goodyear expanding its Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 range to better cover growing demand from SUV drivers in the premium tyre segment, the company also aims to meet budget segment SUV demand with its Sava brand. From January 2024, 15 additional sizes join the Sava Intensa SUV 2 range.

The European car market continues to evolve towards SUVs, with the transition to EV and hybrid powertrains accelerating this growth. Goodyear’s forecasts predict a compound annual growth rate of 5.5 per cent in the SUV market between 2022 and 2027. Figures published by the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) show than more than half of the new cars sold in Europe in the second half of 2022 were SUVs.

The Sava Intensa SUV 2 targets the budget segment and, according to Goodyear, features an “innovative SUV compound technology providing larger vehicles reliable performance on wet surfaces.” The tyre maker adds that stiffened outside shoulder blocks offer enhanced strength and stiffness, helping to ensure better corner grip, stability, and precision control on dry roads. Meanwhile, a low rolling resistance tread compound rating makes it robust, helping to save money and maximise vehicle range.
