Darren Lindsey to head BTMA

Graham Willson is retiring as Chief Executive of the British Tyre Manufacturers’ Association at the end of April, and the BTMA board has named Darren Lindsey his successor. Lindsey, who is commercial product director at Michelin Tyre PLC, brings more than 25 years of experience in national and international missions and a wealth of industry knowledge to his new function.
“I am honoured to be entrusted with this important role. I look forward to taking up the challenge of its many different facets and of building on the work that Graham has undertaken over many years,” says Lindsey.
Defending & shaping the tyre industry
“It’s been a privilege to represent the leading tyre manufacturers, not only to government and NGOs but also within the community of industry associations,” adds Graham Willson. “Through our various actions, many of them in collaboration with other associations, we have continued to successfully defend and shape the tyre industry in an increasingly changing environment. I wish Darren every success as he takes on this exciting and challenging role.”
“We are deeply indebted to Graham for his time as Chief Executive which has seen many changes to the industry and its people,” comments Jamie Stevens, BTMA chairman. “We look forward to working with Darren as he takes the Association forward into its next chapter. We wish Graham a long and healthy retirement.”
