Bond International launches Admiral tyre brand

Fast-growing wholesaler, Bond International has launched the Admiral tyre brand. The trademark for Admiral was gained back in 1996 by the late Reg Bond and has since been registered in countries around the world.
The tyres themselves are being produced by Sailun and have already started arriving in the UK. According to Bond representatives, the Admiral line-up will feature “a full range including run flat and electric”. And what’s more the majority of sizes feature “the pattern that gives the tyre an “A” rating for wet grip”, according to the company.
Commenting on the news, Bond International CEO, Charlie Bond, said: “The company is experiencing its busiest period since it was formed by my father in 1966. He would have been incredibly proud to see the Admiral tyre launched as the name and trademark were his idea. Greg and I are pleased we have now been able to make this a reality. We are confident this brand will be popular in the UK and around the world, Sailun are a top-class factory to work with and produce a high-quality tyre, which the name deserves.”
He continued: “This is just yet another step in the expansion plan set out in 2019 by the Board at Bond, with much more to follow.” With the recent acquisitions of the Viking International wholesale operation plus the more recent joint venture with GoodTread in Scotland, one can only imagine what is next.
