Yokohama Rubber names Yamaishi Chairman & CEO

Numerous changes within the management of the Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd. will take effect following the company’s general meeting of shareholders on 28 March 2024, including the appointment of Masataka Yamaishi as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. The role of CEO is a newly created position within Yokohama Rubber.
Yamaishi will relinquish his current remit as President but will remain Chairman of the Board, with responsibility for General Management/Planning and Administration/North America/MB.
Shinji Seimiya, who is currently Chief Technical & Productional Officer, will take on the dual roles of President and Chief Operating Officer. He also becomes Member of the Board and Managing Officer with responsibility for Engineering/Production/Quality Assurance/IT/Japan, China, and Asia.
Nitin Mantri ends his leadership of Yokohama Europe GmBH and his tenure as Head of the company’s OHT Division, CEO of Yokohama Off-Highway Tires K.K., Chairman of Yokohama India Pvt. Ltd., Chairman of Yokohama Tyre Vietnam Inc. As of 28 March, Mantri will become a Senior Managing Officer of Yokohama Rubber and Co-COO, with responsibility for OHT Business/Tire Overseas.
Other changes include the appointment of Gregorio Borgo as an Associate Officer. Borgo remains Consultant and Acting President of Yokohama Europe GmbH.
