Yokohama launches Advan Sport EV A/S in America

Roughly six months after the introduction of the Advan Sport EV in Europe, and less than a week after the tyremaker previewed the arrival of its ‘superbly quiet’ Advan dB V553 in Japan, Yokohama has launched the Advan Sport EV A/S in the US.
Billed as “an ultra high-performance all-season tyre specifically designed for electric vehicles (EVs)”, the new tyre comes out in 10 sizes ranging from 18 to 20 inches, according to Drew Dayton, Yokohama Tire’s senior product planning manager, consumer tyres: “It’s the first tire to carry the new E+ badge, which signifies that the tyre is compatible with electric vehicles and able to fulfil the unique set of requirements brought by EVs”.
The Sport EV – which apparently refers to the Advan Sport EV A/S – made its public debut at the Electrify Expo show in Austin, Texas in November 2023. All sizes of the Sport EV are backed by Yokohama’s 30-day money-back guarantee and a 55,000-mile limited treadwear warranty.
