Toyo Tires dissolving Europe Project Development Department, appoints Murase GM of EMEA Sales

Toyo Tire Corporation has announced changes related to its business within Europe. Effective 1 February, the company is “constructively” dissolving its International Production Division’s Europe Project Development Department. Meanwhile, Takanori Murase will become the new General Manager of Toyo Tire Corporation’s Europe, Sales Department and Sales Division for the Africa & Middle East region, effective 1 April 2024.
Toyo Tires established the Europe Project Development Department on 1 August 2019 to facilitate preparations for and the start-up of its new plant in Serbia. Initially directly managed by the company’s Business Headquarters, on 1 July 2021 Toyo Tires transferred the department to its Production Headquarters and placed it under the Production Division.
The company says it is revising the organisation under its Production Headquarters both at home and internationally for the purpose of “enhancing comprehensive planning and proposal for the establishment of the medium-to-long-term global production structure,” as well as for the “integrated management and support functions for both Japan and overseas production facilities.”
As General Manager of Toyo Tire Corporation’s Europe, Sales Department and Sales Division for the Africa & Middle East region, Takanori Murase succeeds Hiroaki Takizawa in both roles. From 1 April, Takizawa will take on Murase’s current remit as President of NT Mexico, S.de R.L. de C.V. and President, Toyo Automotive Parts de Mexico, S.A. de C.V.
