Prinx Chengshan makes strategic agreement with two steel cord manufacturers

In less than two months, Prinx Chengshan has signed strategic cooperation agreements with two steel cord manufacturers, Xingda and Shougang Century. Jiang Xizhou, executive vice president of Prinx Chengshan, and Yin Nengbo, purchasing director, both attended the two signing ceremonies.
The cooperation agreement between Prinx Chengshan and Xingda focuses on “market development, product research and development, and sustainable development”. The two parties look forward to “jointly building a new development model for the rubber tyre industry”. According to Xingda, the two parties had in-depth exchanges at the signing meeting on their respective mid- and long-term plans, market situation, sustainable development, and other related issues. Prinx Chengshan awarded Xingda the “Excellent Partner” award.
Xingda currently has three production bases in Jiangsu, Shandong, China and Chonburi, Thailand, and has established overseas branches in Europe and North America. Its production base in Jiangsu includes four steel cord factories, one bead wire factory, and a special wire rope factory, with a total production capacity of 1 million tons. Xingda’s Shandong production base has a full production capacity of 280,000 tons of steel cord. The current total production capacity of the Xingda Thailand factory is 100,000 tons of steel cord. The expansion project involving 150,000 tons of steel cord and 80,000 tons of bead wire is planned to be put into production in the first half of 2025.
Prinx Chengshan and Shougang Century discussed measures and experiences in green production and environmental protection. It is worth noting that during the meeting between Prinx Chengshan and Shougang Century, one of the key points discussed by the two parties was “frame materials used in new energy vehicle tyres”. In addition, participants from Shougang Century specially introduced the “development history of OTR cords” to Prinx Chengshan.
Shougang Century owns the “Eastern” brand and has production bases in Jiaxing, Zhejiang, and Tengzhou, Shandong, China. Information on the company’s official website shows that its Jiaxing and Tengzhou factories can produce 80,000 tons and 160,000 tons of steel cord annually.
