TireHub opens Regional Distribution Center
TireHub, the Bridgestone- and Goodyear-owned wholesaler that distributes both companies’ passenger and light truck tyres to tyre dealers and retailers across the USA, reports achieving a ”major milestone” with the opening of its first Regional Distribution Center. The 360,000 square foot (33,450 square metre) facility is located just outside of Allentown, Pennsylvania and services logistics centres in the northeast region. TireHub says customers here will benefit from market-specific products and accelerated delivery times.
“Our regional distribution centre streamlines and enhances our service levels in the northeast and is intended to give our customers more breadth and depth of premium Goodyear and Bridgestone products,” says Ted Becker, chief executive officer of TireHub. “Customers in the region are already experiencing improved service levels. We will continue to explore ways to give them the support they need to run their business more efficiently.”
TireHub continues to grow its presence in the US tyre distribution sector and now operates 78 logistics centres across the country. In the last eighteen months, TireHub added or relocated 13 centres, including recent relocations in Alabama, California and Minnesota. In the near future the company also plans to open centres in Massachusetts and Missouri.
