Good 3Q financial figures from Nokian: operating profits were up 35.5 per cent over 3Q 2002, reaching 21.7 million euros.
Shock absorber manufacturer Kayaba opened its new European HQ in Germany, at Krefeld, near Dusseldorf.

Co-operation in more peaceful times: Toyo Tire & Rubber opened a Russian sales office in Moscow as a JV with Mitsubishi. It was owned 60/40 Toyo/Mitsubishi.
In Turkey, Brisa celebrated a 20-year partnership between Bridgestone and Sabanci Holdings.
December 2013
Media reports said that Kumho had been testing F1 tyres in Spain.
Discord in the USA, where Bridgestone was claiming US$ 600 million from IBM, claiming that the latter’s new, company-wide computer system “brought chaos” to the tyre manufacturer.
December 2018
Shandong Linglong Tire signed a deal with Paraguay-based tyre distributor Sunset Tires, for the latter to purchase tyres to the value of US$300 million between 2019 and 2021.
Magna Tyres announced its second increase in OTR tyre production capacity in two years at its plant in Hardenberg, Netherlands. Capacity will also be increased at the company’s factory in Thailand.
