New Alliance 373 VibroFarm

We’re not yet sure whether it will come to the UK, but Yokohama Off-Highway Tires (YOHT) has presented a new tyre, the Alliance 373 VibroFarm. The off-highway specialist developed this tyre for tractors fitted with forward-mounted harvesters and employed in applications such as olive, pistachio and grape harvesting.
YOHT says it has designed Alliance 373 VibroFarm to accommodate the considerable loads that front-mounted harvesters place upon the front axle, as well as a wide variety of usage including road travel. For example, it has built the tyre upon a new, reinforced casing construction with a steel belt that provides high stability, even under extreme loads. The steel belt also increases resistance to cuts, chips and punctures.
Alliance-developed Stratified Layer Technology (SLT) ensures high traction and low slippage, especially in extreme operating situations, such as sloping ground with heavy wet soils. In addition, YOHT confirms the tyre’s good self-cleaning properties thanks to graded lugs with mud breakers. The design of the tread grooves – YOHT describes these as ‘diverging’ – combines with an optimised draft angle to reduce stone entrapment.
The manufacturer also shares that a sinusoidal centre rib enables high performance due to minimised rutting and multi-angular sidewalls provide good traction on soft surfaces. A greater number of blocks and a high rubber-to-void tread ratio enable low rolling resistance during transport operations on hard surfaces and increase tread life.
“The new Alliance 373 is a good example of how we offer technically and market-specifically innovative tyre solutions,” reports Ole Baek, vice president – North & West at YOHT. The tyre maker also backs the tyre with a ten-year warranty.
