Kyoto, Japan is clearly a place in the land of the rising sun. But what about the tyre brand of the same name? Kyoto Japan the tyre brand is a Japanese-Swiss group of companies specialized in design, manufacture and marketing of Kyoto Japan tyres, tubes, batteries and lubricants.

Kyoto Japan’s tyres products cover following families of products: both radial and bias truck and bus tyres, as well as light truck, car, 4×4 and SUV tyres, plus construction, agricultural and mining tyres; not to mention two-wheel tyres.
The company’s battery products are made in Italy. And Kyoto Japan’s synthetic, semi-synthetic and mineral lubricants are made in Holland. Meanwhile the firm’s professional additives are made in France.

Kyoto Japan Tire Corporation Ltd. was registered in Tokyo in 1991 and acts as the head office of the group in Japan. The company operates manufacturing licenses for production in China as well as issuing distributorship agreements for potential clients and markets.
The Kyoto Japan Tire (Suisse) S.A – Geneva operation is a 100 per cent Swiss company set up in Geneva in 2008 to act as the principal sales company of the group.
Elsewhere in Europe, Kyoto Japan Tire (Europe) S.A.S – Annemasse & St. Gilles is a subsidiary of the Swiss company set up in Annemasse, France in 2013 with warehouses and logistics centres in France (St. Gilles), Holland, Italy and the UK.
Kyoto Japan Tire Pneus do Brasil Ltda. – Sao Paulo was set up in Sao Paulo based on 100 per cent ownership for local distribution of Kyoto Japan tyres in Brazil.
Outside Europe, Kyoto Japan Tire (West Africa) S.A – Abidjan was set up in Abidjan based on a 50 per cent partnership with a prominent local business group for imports and local distribution in West Africa.
Kyoto Japan Tire Corp. (Switzerland) S.A – Beijing was set-up in 2000 in order to facilitate the control of procurement, production, logistics and exports out of China.
TMS International Group Ltd. – Hong Kong is fully owned subsidiary company of the group based in Hong Kong for trading of various brands of tyre to world markets.
Quick Service Centres
Kyoto Japan Tire Group also offers the Quick Service Centre on a franchise basis in different markets under the supervision of the local Kyoto Japan Official Distributor. The concept allows the official distributor or an investor or entrepreneur to finance and develop a chain of such Quick Centres in specific region(s) in their market. According to the company, it also provides “an opportunity for an existing workshop or groups of workshops to modernize their facilities to enhance their operations and to increase their profitability.”
The idea is that each Quick Service Centre has a modern showroom and reception with a retail section, a comfortable and stylish waiting area with all amenities on the mezzanine, reached by a modern curved staircase. The client waiting for service can relax in the lounge area on the mezzanine while viewing the service on their car in the service bays across full height glass partition.
Quick Service Centres are modular and designed to be located in high traffic zones that offer good visibility with adequate customer parking with minimum three service bays.
Furthermore, Kyoto Japan Quick Service Centres provide warranty and offer a range of quick replacement services for all vehicles using Kyoto Japan original parts.
