Jinyu restarts car tyre business

Chinese tyre manufacturer Jinyu Tire Group restarts its PCR car tyre project. Tyrepress China learned that Jinyu’s Vietnam factory has expanded its PCR production line. The expansion project has a designed annual production capacity of 10 million units and is divided into three phases of construction.

The first phase of the expansion project has an annual production capacity of 3 million units and is expected to reach production in 2025. The PCR products put into production in the first phase will be based on the mainstream demand of the European and American markets and target the global mid-to-high-end market. Jinyu Tire said that the expanded project would comprehensively benchmark against “world-class tyre companies” in terms of “product design, quality standards, process layout, equipment numerical control, and intelligent logistics”.

In the previous five years, Jinyu focused on the production of TBR products. The company’s Vietnam factory can currently produce 6,000 TBR products per day. Chang Xianxu, chairman of Jinyu Tire Group, said at the groundbreaking ceremony of the PCR production line of the Vietnam factory that the reasons for Jinyu to restart the PCR business include “responding to market demand” and “improving the product structure and enhancing market competitiveness”.
