ISCC Plus certification for Asahi Kasei’s Asaprene

Asahi Kasei reports that, together with an affiliated company, it has acquired ISCC Plus sustainability certification for several products, including Asaprene solution polymerised SBR for applications such as tyre treads and casings.

Announcing these certifications, the Asahi Kasei Group says it aims to “contribute to a carbon-neutral and sustainable world” by focusing on initiatives such as the use of biomass raw materials, recycled raw materials, and renewable energy. It will also deepen its collaboration with other companies to this end, as set out in the company’s management plan for fiscal 2024.
