IAAF announces annual awards winners at 2023 dinner
The Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation (IAAF) has announced the winners of its annual awards on Thursday, 7 December at the DoubleTree Hilton Milton Keynes. The event, headline sponsored by Alliance Automotive Group (AAG), highlighted the resilience and accomplishments of the automotive aftermarket sector. IAAF chief executive Mark Field addressed the industry’s adaptability and innovation in the face of adversity, while the event was hosted by Stephen Whitton. The event also raised £26,000 in support of Claire Lomas.
The IAAF’s award winners were:
- LKQ Euro Car Parts – Car Distributor of the Year, sponsored by WAI; Rays Garage Supplies was highly commended
- HGV Direct – CV Distributor of the Year, sponsored by Fras-Le; CV Components was highly commended
- Bilstein Group – Car Supplier of the Year, sponsored by Elcome; Juratek was highly commended
- GS Yuasa Battery Sales UK – CV Supplier of the Year, sponsored by Boswell Insurance; Exol was highly commended
- Boswell Insurance – Service Supplier of the Year, sponsored by GSF Car Parts; Techman was highly commended
- Louise Baker of Womanic – Outstanding Garage Contribution of the Year, sponsored by Automechanika
- SMP Europe’s EGR Valves – Product of the Year, sponsored by Arnold Clark Autoparts; Ring Automotive’s RTC4000/Cordless Rechargeable Tyre Inflator was highly commended
- Nick Hayes of TMD Friction UK – Outstanding Achievement
Reflecting on the event, Field said: “I’m delighted that we could bring the industry together in such a way. Thanks to our sponsors, the IAAF events team and to our members. The Federation is on a journey with its members and our events are a key part of this success. 2024 promises even greater strides with a new website, consumer campaigns, more events and a new motor factor training program.”
