Falken recalls certain Wildpeak tyres in the USA

In North America, Sumitomo Rubber USA, LLC (Sumitomo) is recalling certain 265/70 R17 115T Falken Wildpeak AT3W and Wildpeak HT02 (in LT235/85R16 120/116S) due to a “manufacturing error”.

According to the official recall documentation, “the tyres may have a puncture in the sidewall and leak air” potentially risking “a loss of air pressure” and therefore they “can increase the risk of a crash”.

US tyre dealers will replace the affected tyres, free of charge. Owner notification letters will be sent around 11 January 2024.
