Falken hosts ‘employee empowerment’ workshops supporting campaign to end gender-based violence
Falken Tyre Europe is participating in the United Nations’ ‘Orange the World’ campaign calling for an end to gender-based violence. The company is publicising the 16-day period marking the campaign in Germany, which began on 25 November, the UN’s official ‘Orange Day’, via its Falken social media channels and in internal communications. This includes workshops for employee empowerment under the direction of Günther Bubenitschek, the state prevention of crime officer for Baden-Württemberg of Weisser Ring e.V. – a non-profit organisation which is dedicated to supporting victims of crime and the prevention of criminal offences. The workshops offer practical insights and strategies for dealing with online hate and protection against stalking, as well as suggestions on how to show civil courage in everyday life through voice, attitude and presence.
“We are encouraging our employees to actively participate in the workshops. In an increasingly digitalised world, it is very important to be aware of the challenges of the cyber world,” comments Jürgen Steuer, manager human resources and general affairs at Falken Tyre Europe, on the engagement. “The response to our offering has been very good, and I am convinced that the resulting positive changes within the organisation will strengthen the FalkenFam and have positive effects far beyond it.”
