Shandong tyre exports to UK increased significantly
In the first 10 months of 2023, Shandong Province exported 290 million new pneumatic rubber tyres, an increase of 19.7 per cent over the same period last year, according to Qingdao Customs statistics. The value of tyre exports was 74.71 billion yuan, an increase of 20.7 per cent. The average tyre export price was 261.8 yuan per tyre, a rise of 0.8 per cent.
170 million tyres were exported through processing trade, an increase of 15.9 per cent, accounting for 58.5 per cent of the total tyre exports (the same below). 110 million units were exported through general trade, an increase of 24.4 per cent, accounting for 39.3 per cent.
In terms of foreign trade entities, private enterprises exported 230 million tyres, an increase of 20.5 per cent, accounting for 80 per cent. Foreign-invested enterprises shipped 34.35 million units, an increase of 16 per cent, accounting for 12 per cent.
EU the largest export market
From January to October, Shandong exported 45.681 million tyres to the EU, an increase of 30.8 per cent, accounting for 16 per cent.
During the same period, exports to Mexico, Brazil, ASEAN, and the United Kingdom increased by 38 per cent, 45.9 per cent, 3.2 per cent, and 22 per cent respectively.
In addition, 170 million units were exported to countries jointly building the “belt and road”, an increase of 21.7 per cent, accounting for 59.1 per cent.
