Oxford Carriers maintain fingertip compliance control with TruTac

Microlise group company TruTac is supplying its intelligent fleet management software, TruFleet, to Witney based haulier Oxford Carriers. TruTac says it is Increasingly supporting customers in digitising their fleet operations, focusing on improving compliance and sharpening vehicle maintenance data.
The company’s intelligent fleet management software delivers planning and co-ordination of all vehicle maintenance and compliance in real time. TruFleet is DVSA Earned Recognition accredited and seamlessly integrates with all TruTac’s other products. Users are provided with live fleet maintenance management information, which helps them keep on top of service, maintenance, and repair duties. It also incorporates O-Licence information, so fleets have everything in one place.
“We originally used TruAnalysis for complete tachograph management and later worked with TruTac to help test their TruFleet vehicle maintenance software,” says logistics operations manager, Mike Wise, “and I’m pleased to say, over the last couple of years, both our driver compliance and our vehicle maintenance procedures have improved beyond measure.”

TruTac’s managing director, Jemma James, says operators of all sizes can reap the benefits of digitised fleet management. “Operators must maintain focus on ‘keeping wheels turning’ as industry margins are increasingly tight. Our products remove both paper-based systems and manually intense processes, whilst delivering resource efficiency gains and compliance peace of mind.”
A recent addition to TruFleet is the Workshop module, which fully integrates with TruChecks – the company’s daily walkaround inspection and reporting software – and the TruTac Driver App, which provides drivers with all TruChecks features in handy mobile form. The Workshop module allows users to easily identify and log any defect on a vehicle, while fully recording the audit trail from initial identification to rectification and sign off within the system.
Templates are fully customisable, easily edited and can be used for trucks and trailers or any other fleet asset and cover inspections, repairs, servicing, MOTs and associated running costs which can be logged against each asset for full control and visibility. In 2024 TruTac will launch their Costing module to further enhance TruFleet functionality and deliver even greater benefits to users when managing fleet costs.
Electronic periodic maintenance inspections (EPMIs) are all also fully controlled through the module and are simple to create and merge for servicing and inspections. For improving audit trail transparency, operators can choose sign-off levels with up to three independent signatures, for example, for the technician, rectification second signature and manager’s signature.
