MAK launches NPK Snow Socks Multigrip
MAK-distributed brand NPK is bringing its new line of anti-skid devices for cars in technical fabric, commonly known as snow socks, to market. The wheel company says the NPK Snow Socks Multigrip is suited to motorists on summer and four-season tyres.
NPK Snow Socks Multigrip are designed to be efficient, high-performing, easy for anyone to fit, quiet and not harmful to asphalt or car suspensions. Available in two versions – original and light – and in different sizes to guarantee coverage of the majority of the car fleet on the market, they can also be easily used on cars that are not suitable for chains. They have also been introduced in sizes to fit campers, trucks and vans.
Both versions of the NPK Snow Socks Multigrip have been tested and homologated according to UNI EN 16662-1:2020. The tests, which have been carried out, confirmed a total range of 150km of long life on asphalt at a speed of no more than 50km/h and the passing of the comparison with a sample of metal chains on braking/acceleration on ice and starting uphill on snow. This, on a dynamic level, allows for more precise guidance and greater control of the vehicle compared to chains.
