Mak increases its workshop focus with Mate TPMS and diagnostic range
In mid-November, Mak announced the introduction of the new Mate Multisens, Mate MaxiTPMS TS900 and MX pressure sensors and devices. Mak reports that the Mate TPMS and diagnostic brand that it exclusively distributes in Italy is “increasingly focused on the offer of products designed for vehicle workshops”.
According to the company, the new Mate Multisens represents “innovation in the field of pre-programmed TPMS sensors”. The Multisens name is based on the tool’s capability relating to “several protocols associated to each item code, hence the name”. Featuring six item codes, Mak reports that they cover “98 per cent of the European car fleet” and are available in three interchangeable variants: metal silver, metal black and rubber.
Multisens sensors can be used as original sensors via auto-learning or OBDII process. They are programmable with all Ateq devices including VT57, VT56, VT46, MA41.
Up to four sensors can be programmed simultaneously. Programming time for a new ID has been reduced to 12 seconds. And sensors can be re-programmed “countless times”.
The Mate MaxiTPMS TS900, on the other hand, is designed to support diagnosis and reportedly offers “maximum efficiency, service and TPMS coding”. To that end, it can activate, read and re-learn “all known TPMS sensors” and program MX Autel 1-Sensors to replace 99 per cent of TPMS sensors on the road today. An important new feature of the Mate TS900 is its compatibility of Autel Bluetooth-TPMS sensors (BLE-A001) for Tesla models. Indeed, the tool can be used to program BLE sensors even in the case of software updates from the parent company.
The Mate MaxiTPMS TS900 features “an advanced processor” that works on the Android 11 operating. The tool has an operating memory of 4 GB and storage memory of 64 GB and is developed in collaboration with Autel.
Work that can be done with the tool includes: Steering angle reset; Opening brake callipers; Engine oil maintenance and service; Vehicle reset and check-up; Pre/post scan of all systems; and active two-way testing.
Furthermore, with its eight-inch screen, the TS900 is able to perform “all diagnostic coding for mechanics, with numerous special functions and more than 38 service functions”.
MX universal TPMS sensors are designed for reliability and versatility. Compatible with a wide range of vehicles, they provide extensive coverage for professionals. The advanced MX sensor technology enables accurate tyre pressure readings, helping to improve safety and reduce the risk of road accidents.
The Mate brand also includes “various Autel and ATEQ diagnostic tools, Ingersoll Rand products, Huf TPMS sensors and domestic and professional charging stations for electric vehicles. In order to market the new brand, Mate has been live on LinkedIn as “Mate_tpms_diagnostic” since November.
