Hiboo integrates Goodyear TPMS Heavy Duty data in first for manufacturer’s OTR fleet data business
The tyre manufacturer explains how insights gained by leveraging data integration are supporting fleets to drive efficiency
Goodyear has integrated its data into a third-party system in its tyre management solutions for the Off-The-Road (OTR) industry with the Hiboo platform. By adding data yielded from Goodyear TPMS Heavy Duty, users of the platform can access unified tyre health and vehicle performance analytics. Goodyear says the integration helps drive OTR fleet’s operational efficiency. Unexpected machine stoppages and inappropriate tyre pressure can easily lead to breakdowns, which incur heavy costs in any segment – even more so in OTR applications, where access to maintenance and replacement products can be more challenging than in on-road commercial applications. The manufacturer says that the key to supporting these demands lies in harnessing the power of data integration proactively to enable more preventative maintenance.
Using Goodyear TPMS Heavy Duty, fleets can monitor tyre pressure and temperature to detect underinflated tyres, air leaks and mechanical issues. This allows managers to monitor their fleets more and schedule preventive maintenance before time s lost to machinery downtime. Goodyear is matching its reputation for tyre technology innovation with its willingness to embrace data integration and connectivity with third-party systems. This openness allows fleet operators to integrate Goodyear data seamlessly with other platforms, unlocking new possibilities for data-driven decision-making.
Goodyear says that data integration is a game-changer for fleet management and is making efforts to enhance its capabilities. Goodyear has adapted its systems for integration by engaging with business partners’ requirements, fostering a more efficient and user-friendly experience. Goodyear provides solutions in original equipment and aftermarket channels designed for “seamless” integration with a fleet’s existing infrastructure. It says simplifying the integration process ensures that fleets can leverage the full potential of their tyre data.
Goodyear is supporting effective data sharing via its collaboration with French company Hiboo. The data integration platform complements Goodyear’s offer with advanced data analytics and management capabilities. Customer data like geolocation and TPMS events or alerts from Goodyear TPMS Heavy Duty are pushed to Hiboo’s data platform, offering users a unified view of tyre health and vehicle performance.
Goodyear’s collaboration with Hiboo goes beyond data sharing. By combining their systems, Goodyear can now send processed tyre alerts data to the Hiboo platform, enabling real-time warnings for customers. This feature empowers fleet managers to proactively address tyre-related issues, supporting safety and reducing downtime.
“We are pleased to see that the integration of Goodyear’s data with Hiboo’s platform provides fleet managers with a holistic and comprehensive overview of their fleet’s performance. Simultaneously, customers can still access Goodyear Fleethub and Goodyear Driverhub applications for more detailed insights, ensuring they have all the tools they need for successful fleet management,” says Yves Sinner, head of product management solutions at Goodyear.
“Cooperation between Goodyear and Hiboo exemplifies the transformational potential of data integration in the transport industry. By leveraging the power of data, fleet managers can make informed decisions, enhance safety, and drive operational efficiency like never before,” adds Clément Bénard, CEO at Hiboo.
